WALKER'S COMMENTS

"Firstly and most importantly, we enjoyed it; stunning scenery throughout;... As last year, on the WHW, we enjoyed the hospitality and friendliness of everyone we met en route."
Jacki & Bruce Maclaurin

"We thoroughly enjoyed it".
Party of nine Ramblers from Wales

"I don't believe I have come across such an accessible and innovative theme trail".
Sue Keen

"We had a lovely time, in good company, in glorious countryside, even the weather was pretty good to us. Our best days were the loop to Amulree, then back to Aberfeldy. ** We felt that too much of the walk was on tarmac, although the roads were quiet and amid beautiful scenery".
Elaine Summerscales

(**)The route developers recognise this comment and are working on methods by which they might be able to engage new landowner in the development of route alternatives on softer terrain. In the meantime we have introduced a section on walking surfaces and made some suggestion on alternative footwear that should relieve the difficulty.

"I thought you may be interested to know that I have, together with two of my friends, now completed the whole of the Rob Roy Way, including the detour round Glen Almond, a distance of about 107 miles.

"It has been a wonderful walk through some of what must be the most beautiful parts of Scotland, equally as good as the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way".
Roland Bradley

"My party of four have successfully completed the RRW and had a great time. The scenery and accommodation were superb. Also people in the various locations were very friendly.

"I appreciate that the walk is in it's infancy but it deserves more publicity as it should be enjoyed by more people (although we did like the fact that it is less busy than WHW).

"The website is good".
Irene White

"May I say what an excellent website you have produced. The structure is clear and the map with links to the various sections is a particulalrly good feature. There are also some good photos to tempt the reader (including some 'realistic' cloudy scenes !) and excellent links to other very useful (and necessary) information like route descriptions and accommodation".
Mike Hawtree

"I believe Ray has given you our comments on the walk (really enjoyable walk, splendid views across the Highlands, lovely villages and very hospitable B&Bs and an excellent bag carrying service.) We're already planning the next long distance walk so any aches / pains etc have already been forgotten".
Sonia Gamblen

"Myself, a bunch of friends and my black labrador completed the walk recently in glorious sunshine for most of the time.

"I would not consider the walk to be strenuous other than its length, the scenery was of course, beautiful.

"Smashing walk, good b&bs, good food in the pubs and plenty of socialising to be had."
Ian Thomson
